Ready to trade with ACY Securities?

Is ACY Securities Regulated?

ACY Securities operates as a multi-jurisdictional broker serving clients across Asia and the wider international market, including Malaysia. Malaysian traders are onboarded exclusively through ACY’s St Vincent and the Grenadines (SVG) entity. While this structure allows access to high leverage and flexible trading conditions, it is important to note that the SVG jurisdiction provides limited regulatory oversight compared to major financial centres.

  • Australian Securities and Investments Commission (ASIC) – ACY Securities Pty Ltd (AFSL No. 403863). This is ACY’s primary regulated entity but is not used for Malaysian clients due to ASIC’s local-client restrictions and lower leverage limits.
  • St Vincent and the Grenadines (SVG) – ACY Capital LLC (Company No. 2610 LLC 2022). This is the entity under which Malaysian traders are onboarded, offering high leverage and global market access.
  • Financial Sector Conduct Authority (FSCA), South Africa – ACY Securities SA (Pty) Ltd (Licence No. 51008), used primarily for clients in the African region.

Because Malaysian residents fall under the SVG entity, they do not receive the same level of regulatory protection as traders under the ASIC entity. However, ACY applies several internal safety measures consistently across its group to enhance client security.

Client Protection Measures

ACY Securities implements a number of internal safeguards designed to improve account security for Malaysian traders, even when operating under the lower-oversight SVG structure:

  • Segregation of Funds: Client money is held in separate accounts from company operating funds. While only ASIC mandates strict segregation standards, ACY states that it applies similar practices across all entities.
  • Negative Balance Protection: Malaysian retail traders are protected from losing more than their account balance, ensuring that extreme volatility cannot result in debt.
  • Internal Risk Management: ACY follows group-wide capital and liquidity procedures and applies risk controls such as margin monitoring and automatic stop-outs to protect clients from excessive losses.
  • AML / KYC Verification: Malaysian clients must complete identity checks and comply with ACY’s anti-money-laundering procedures before funding or withdrawing from their accounts.

ACY Securities’s Trading Instruments

ACY Securities has an impressive range of CFDs, more than is typically offered at other brokers.

Available Assets and Leverage

Overview: ACY Securities (SVG entity) provides access to more than 2,200+ tradable CFDs across Forex, indices, global shares, commodities, precious metals, and cryptocurrencies. This multi-asset lineup is available through MT4, MT5, and ACY’s proprietary trading platform, with the SVG entity offering ACY’s highest leverage levels.

  • Forex (leverage up to 1:5000 on ACY Platform/1:500 on MT4 & MT5): Trade major, minor, and exotic FX pairs with margin from 0.02% when using ACY’s proprietary platform, enabling ultra-high effective leverage of 1:5000. On MT4/MT5, maximum FX leverage is set at 1:500.
  • Metals, Commodities & Energy (up to 1:5000 for metals on ACY Platform): Spot gold and silver can also be traded with up to 1:5000 leverage via the ACY Platform, while MT4/MT5 accounts operate at up to 1:500. Commodities and energies — including crude oil, natural gas, gasoline and heating oil — are available with leverage up to 1:100 depending on volatility and liquidity.
  • Indices (up to 1:100): Access major global indices such as the US30, US100, US500, Germany 40, FTSE 100, and HK50 with competitive margin requirements, typically capped at 1:100 due to their higher market-gap risk profile.
  • Stock CFDs: Trade a broad selection of global share CFDs — including popular US companies such as Apple, Amazon, Tesla, Meta and others — with leverage up to 1:5. This conservative gearing reflects the inherent volatility and overnight gap risk associated with single-stock equities.
  • Cryptocurrencies (up to 1:10): ACY offers crypto CFDs such as Bitcoin (USD), Ethereum (USD), Litecoin (USD), and others at a maximum leverage of 1:10. This provides meaningful exposure while accounting for extreme intraday volatility in digital-asset markets.

Note: Ultra-high leverage of 1:5000 is available exclusively on ACY’s proprietary platform. MT4 and MT5 accounts operate using a reduced maximum leverage of 1:500 for Forex and metals. ACY may adjust margin requirements during market events, periods of abnormal volatility, or for unusually large position sizes.

Overall, ACY Securities’ CFD offering is broader than other similar brokers, and it includes specialty CFDs such as ETFs and cryptocurrencies.

ACY Securities Accounts and Trading Fees

ACY Securities’ trading fees are high on the Basic Account, about average on its Standard Account but significantly lower than average on its ProZero Account.

Opening an account at ACY Securities

All Malaysian traders can open an account at ACY Securities as long as they meet the following minimum deposit requirements.  These are:

  • Standard account: 50 USD
  • ProZero Account: 200 USD
  • Bespoke Account: 10,000 USD

Overall, ACY Securities offers three live accounts which are suitable for beginners and more experienced traders.

Trading Accounts

ACY Securities offers three main account types  — Basic, Standard, and ProZero — each designed to suit different levels of experience, capital, and pricing preferences. The Basic and Standard accounts bundle trading costs into the spread, making them more accessible for beginners and low-frequency traders. In contrast, the ProZero Account caters to cost-sensitive or high-volume traders by offering raw spreads with a low commission but requires a slightly higher minimum deposit.

Basic Account

The Basic Account is ACY’s most accessible option, requiring a minimum deposit of 50 USD. Spreads are variable and start from 1.00 pips on EUR/USD. While wider than the spreads found on similar entry-level accounts, the benefit is straightforward pricing with no commission charges. This account is best suited for beginners, small depositors, or traders who prefer a simple cost structure without per-lot fees.

Standard Account

With a minimum deposit of 100 USD, the Standard Account represents a step up in pricing and features. Spreads begin at around 1.0 pip on EUR/USD with no commission, which places overall trading costs roughly in line with the broader industry average among non-ECN brokers. This account works well for casual traders, those testing new strategies, or traders who prefer cost predictability over razor-thin spreads.

ProZero Account

The ProZero Account requires a minimum deposit of 200 USD and is designed for active and price-sensitive traders. Spreads start from 0.0 pips on EUR/USD and average around 0.1 pips, with a highly competitive commission of 6 USD round-turn per lot. When combined, the spread–commission structure places the ProZero Account firmly among the most cost-efficient offerings in this account tier across the industry.

Note that on the ProZero Account, commission charges vary depending on the base currency of your account — ensuring costs remain consistent across USD, EUR, AUD, and other supported denominations.

ACY Securities's Trading Platforms

ACY Securities offers its own platform alongside the MT4 and MT5 platforms.

Mobile Trading Apps

With support for MT4 and MT5 and its own mobile app, ACY Securities’ has a wider range of mobile apps than most brokers

ACY Securities Mobile Platform

The ACY proprietary mobile trading app offers a lightweight and responsive trading experience. It is designed for traders who prefer simplicity and on-the-go access over advanced desktop features.

  • Interface: Clean, touch-optimized layout with intuitive navigation and quick access to key trading functions.
  • Features: Real-time quotes, interactive charts, order management, and an integrated economic calendar.
  • Orders: Market, limit, and stop orders with preset TP/SL and claimed no-slippage execution.
  • Risk Tools: Dynamic margin and leverage adjustments, plus position size calculation by units.
  • Performance: Fast execution and stable connection even on lower bandwidth, ideal for monitoring trades on the move.

Note: The Basic Account is not available on this platform

MT4/MT5 Mobile Applications

Both trading platforms are available on both Android and iOS mobile devices and tablets. Beginner traders should be aware that there is some loss in functionality when compared to the desktop trading platforms, including reduced timeframes and fewer charting options.  In addition, spotty connections can reduce the overall trading experience. Generally, it is better to be at your desktop to conduct day-to-day trading and use a mobile device to keep an eye on the markets or close open positions.

Desktop Trading Platforms and Trading Tools

ACY Securities has built its own platform from the ground up, and also offers MT4 and MT5.  MT4 and MT5 are considered some of the best third-party platforms in the industry.

ACY Securities Platform

ACY’s in-house, web-based platform focuses on simplicity and fast order entry as an alternative to MT4/MT5. It runs in the browser across desktop and mobile and is designed for beginners and intermediate traders who want a clean interface without installs.

  • Access & UX: Web platform with a straightforward layout and quick trade tickets.
  • Core Tools: Watchlists, multi-chart views, basic drawing tools, and an integrated economic calendar.
  • Orders: Market, limit, stop; supports preset TP/SL with an emphasis on no-slippage “guaranteed” execution on TP/SL (broker-claimed).
  • Risk Controls: Dynamic margin/tiered leverage model, margin alerts, and position sizing in intuitive units.
  • Coverage: Good for major FX/CFDs; instrument list is smaller than ACY’s full MT5 catalogue.

Note: The Basic Account is not available on this platform

Metatrader 4

While not the most beginner-friendly software, MT4 has been the industry-standard platform for trading Forex and CFDs since 2005.  One of the features that make MT4 popular is its auto-trading feature that enables algorithmic trading and strategy backtesting with expert advisors (trading robots).

However, while MT4 has great customizability, the platform feels outdated, and some of the features may be hard to find.  In addition, only the basic orders are available, including Market, Limit, Stop, and Trailing Stop.

Metatrader 5

MT4’s successor, MT5, is a state-of-the-art, multi-functional platform that boasts advanced technical tools and copy-trading. MetaTrader 5 is designed to accommodate advanced trading across a wider selection of asset classes than its predecessor, MT4. Feature-rich, it boasts advanced tools and offers superior execution.

Trading Tools

ACY Securities provides a well-rounded suite of trading tools designed to support research, decision-making, and trade execution across all experience levels. While the toolset varies slightly between MT4, MT5, and the proprietary platform, traders using the SVG entity benefit from a strong combination of market analytics, automation features, and value-added services.

  • ACY Analytics Suite: ACY offers integrated market-analysis tools featuring daily technical and fundamental insights, macroeconomic commentary, and trade ideas. These updates are curated by in-house analysts and are accessible through the client portal and platform add-ons, helping traders stay informed about major market drivers.
  • Trading Central Integration: Eligible accounts gain access to Trading Central’s award-winning signals, technical indicators, analyst reports, and pattern-recognition tools. This provides actionable trade setups, sentiment indicators, and multi-timeframe market analysis directly inside MT4/MT5.
  • Economic Calendar: ACY includes a real-time economic calendar tracking global macroeconomic events, forecasts, and impact ratings. This tool helps traders prepare for volatility around data releases such as NFP, CPI, central bank decisions and GDP announcements.
  • Autochartist (Pattern Recognition): ACY supports automated chart-pattern recognition through Autochartist, enabling traders to identify emerging price formations, key levels, and breakout opportunities. Alerts can be delivered via email or directly inside the trading platforms.
  • VPS Hosting for Algorithmic Trading: For traders running expert advisors (EAs) or other algorithmic strategies, ACY offers VPS hosting through partnered providers. This ensures uninterrupted 24/5 operation, low-latency execution, and optimal performance for automated systems.
  • LogixTrader Smart Tools: ACY’s proprietary LogixTrader platform includes advanced order-management features, multi-asset depth-of-market (DOM), enhanced charting packages, tick-data streaming, and built-in risk management. The platform also includes smart portfolio tools and a more detailed analytics dashboard than MT4/MT5, giving traders greater control over execution and reporting.
  • MT4 & MT5 Trading Tools: Traders using MetaTrader benefit from: – Dozens of built-in indicators – Custom EAs and scripts – One-click trading – Strategy tester (MT5 multi-threaded) – Advanced charting packages – Market Depth (MT5) These tools support both manual trading and algorithmic strategies across all major asset classes.
  • Market News & Sentiment Tools: Real-time news feeds, sentiment indicators, and market heat maps help traders evaluate momentum, positioning, and broader market direction. These tools are particularly useful for short-term traders and those trading around key event risks.

Trading Account Currencies: ACY Securities offers accounts denominated in USD, EUR, GBP, AUD, NZD, CAD, and JPY but not MYR, which means that Malaysians will have to pay conversion fees on all deposits and withdrawals.  Conversion fees can make trading expensive, and affect profitability.
