At FxScouts, our mission is to assist traders in finding the broker that best suits their needs. Comparing brokers side-by-side is an effective method to achieve this goal. We evaluated IC Markets and Infinox, using our standard criteria: trust and regulation, trading platforms, costs and trading conditions, and educational and market analysis resources.
Trust and regulation are crucial when selecting a Forex broker. A broker’s credibility is largely built on its regulatory status. Founded in 2007 in Australia, IC Markets is a globally trusted broker known for its institutional-grade trading conditions, ultra-low spreads, and wide platform support. The company is regulated by several major international authorities, including ASIC, CySEC, and the FSA of Seychelles. While IC Markets is not regulated by the Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI), Indian traders can legally open accounts through its offshore entities, provided they comply with the Foreign Exchange Management Act (FEMA).
IC Markets offers one of the most competitive trading environments in the industry. Its Raw Spread Account features average spreads of just 0.10 pips on the EUR/USD and a round-turn commission of 6 USD per lot. It is also one of the few brokers to support all four major trading platforms—MetaTrader 4, MetaTrader 5, cTrader, and TradingView—making it a versatile choice for Indian traders across all experience levels.
Clients in India benefit from IC Markets’ extensive range of professional trading tools, including VPS hosting, Trading Central analytics, advanced charting packages, and third-party copy trading services such as Myfxbook AutoTrade and ZuluTrade. The broker also provides 24/7 customer support and an intuitive account setup process. While IC Markets excels in educational content for beginners, its market analysis tools are more limited than some of its competitors.
With two low-cost accounts, a good range of Forex pairs, excellent market analysis materials, and good trading tools, INFINOX is a decent all-around broker.
INFINOX offers traders the choice of a commission-free STP account or a commission-based ECN account, both with a minimum deposit of 1 GBP (or currency equivalent). Trading costs range between9 - 9.5 USD per lot traded, much lower than average for the industry. Trading is available on both the MT4 and MT5 platforms, and INFINOX also offers a great social trading app, especially good for beginners starting their trading careers.
However, we were unhappy with the lack of transparency regarding deposits and withdrawals and were also disappointed by non-responsive customer support and INFINOX’s weak FAQ section.
